We'll skip the bills and all the junk mail
to get right to the GOOD STUFF
You may remember the
Stripe Study Shawl knit-a-long
hosted by
I finished the shawl
and then finished and entered a second shawl
I won two prizes by the Random Draw.
Episode 30 is where my name is drawn
TWICE ! !
Thank you, Darren.
I was able to follow the package of goodies because Aimee provided a USPS Track & Confirm Number.
I followed it's itinerary day-by-day.
Yesterday morning I saw that
the pkg was 'out for delivery'.
I was watching and watching for the mail truck.
Wouldn't ya know it.
The Mail was delivered as late as it ever been in months and month.
It wasn't 'til five-thirty yesterday afternoon that Aimee's package arrived ! ! !
Lookeee what I won !
Aimee hand-crafted these Stitch Markers.
Markers for every technique that I use knitting my shawls.
I just love these!
Aimee's created some terrific markers.
See how she's made them not to snag on even the lightest of lace weight yarn
Notice the lobster clasps on the Wrong Side and Right Side markers.
I'll be able to move them up the rows with no hassle.
Love these, thanks Aimee.
The other prize - - -
This just might end up as a
Stephen West Boneyard Shawl.
I ♥ KALs
almost as much as I ♥ knitting

ReplyDeleteYour're right, Kestrel. I do feel extremely fortunate to have won the Wollmeise but also to win those Stitch Markers. The stars must have been aligned!

ReplyDeleteThese gifts couldn't have been won by anyone sweeter!
ReplyDeleteI love those stitch markers, I have never seen anything like them.
And that yarn...ooh, la, la!
xx
Thank you, Tracey, for the very nice sentiment. blush, blush
DeleteI believe Aimee made these ???with Shrinky-Dink??? does that sound right?
Anyway she certainly gave the markings some thought, down to the lobster claps for the WS and RS markers...

ReplyDeleteLove those stitch markers. I know you will put them to good use. And that yarn is certainly "you". Good Karma continues!!! Congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteGood Karma indeed, Dianna,
DeleteGuess I'd better keep that in mind during my daily thoughts.

You are very lucky indeed. I know you will put everything to good use. That yarn is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think luck/karma takes the credit for my wins
Deletesince they were won on merit but rather random draws.
I coveted that WM when I saw it on Aimee's and Darren's podcast.

Wow, Gerry, you lucked out BIG TIME! What a wonderful collection of goodies and I'm absolutely besotted by those stitch markers. I'm working on something right now that requires 1/2 dozen markers all with different techniques and could really use those! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThese Stitch Markers are going to be put to very good use. I see them as the terrific visual aides that they are!!!! Already Marked for Me! Down to the WS and RS markers.
DeleteYep, I'm one lucky gal, Evelyn.
Yeah, that Wollmeise is wonderful, too. I think it's going to be a shawl that will show off the wonderful color. No intricate stitches - probably just a stockinette/garter variation.

You are one lucky gal! I think the Boneyard shawl would work up beautifully in this lovely yarn. Have fun with your new stitch markers.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very lucky week for me.
DeleteI've been knitting on a couple of projects this week and seem to be making progress.

You lucky lady! I had to giggle at the anticipation of the postie. It's almost more exciting that going to the store to get yarn isn't it!?
ReplyDeleteYes, it is. At least getting it at the store is instant gratification, while waiting is liken to waiting for a birthday. . . will it ever arrive.
DeleteAnticipation is the new of the game.
