Barely Spring
and a few daffodils have appeared
We're looking forward to a string of warm days
so we don't have to drag out the sweaters or jackets.
Clear blue skies and white puffy clouds
are my dreams.
☼ ☼ ☼
My needles have been clicking and clacking.
I've finished the Honey Cowl
You do know it's a free pattern from
Madelinetosh, don't you?
Love this Malabrigo Rios yarn.
ABSOLUTELY smitten with the Azules colorway,
Great pops of luscious pulsing-purples.
Makes my heart sing.
May have to wait 'til December to get any time to wrap this lovely 'round my neck.

You might have to wait until December, but then you know Missouri, it can change at the blink of an eye!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Sure hope I do have to wait.

ReplyDeleteGreat looking model, too!!!
You're right on both counts, lol ! ! ! !
DeleteThanks for the lovely compliment, Paula.
This cowl is going to be a great accessory.
It can be knit with any weight yarn.

Another winner. Love the color. I see from the second pic you made the long version. Interesting stitch. Might have to make this some year. It was so nice seeing you model the cowl as well.
ReplyDeleteYes, Dianna, you can see on my Rav page that I co on the larger number of sts. Would rather have the choice of wearing either as a cowl or a scarf. Plus, Knitting Blooms March Challenge was to knit from that skein of yarn. This gave me the opportunity to knit up both skeins.

Gerry, that cowl is gorgeous, and it looks wonderful on you! You are so photogenic, my friend!
ReplyDeleteWe've had some warm days....but it's cold here today (36 degrees right now). At least the sun is shining! Come on Spring!!!
XOXO,
Cyndi
Oh, Cyndi, you'd love our weather today.
DeleteJust long sleeves.
The sky is clear, blue and really cloudless.
WE drove by a Tulip Tree LOADED, I mean REALLY LOADED with gorgeous pink blossoms.

Heading out for a woods hike in a little while, family in tow. Spring is definitely in the air .... the honey cowl is one of my favorites to knit and ... well, you know how I feel about Malabrigo!! Yours is stunning as are you! : )
ReplyDeleteThank you, Evelyn, your too kind.
DeleteThe Honey Cowl pattern is going to get a lot of use 'round here.
It makes for great purse knitting and wonderful for gifting.
Great way to de-stash so we have more room for new yarn.
