The change in the season has been just what we needed 'round here.
The trees are colorful and the grass is a bit greener than all summer and not really growing enough to get the mower started.
Can I get you a cup of hot apple cider?
Earl Grey tea?
Italian Roast coffee?

Guess it'll be no surprize to ya
when I show you what I've been doing.
Worse Than a Zombie
is the name of this colorway
Worn them today for the first time
and my feet were toasty warm in this fifty degree F weather.
. . . . . . . . .
I'll tell your right now,
I cast on two new pair of sox this weekend!!!!
Can't get enough of knitting dem sox.
* * * * * * * * *
Finished a shawl this past week.
While there are beads on the lower edge,
they can't be seen is this photo.
It's knit in a pashmina yarn.
That's
75% Merino wool
15% silk
10% cashmere
Feels decadent next to the skin,
just sayin'.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Brought in the potted plants yesterday afternoon, temp dropped to 32 degrees F overnight.
Haven't decided
whether they're in the garage for the winter or
just 'til this cold snap passes and
we have a few more nice weeks before it truly to turns cold.

ReplyDeleteThose socks kill me - that green looks like it would glow in the dark. Wouldn't it be cool if it actually did?!?
I can have some oatmeal cookies, too.

Hot cocoa and cookies sound great. Your projects are great. I agree, it's sock weather.
ReplyDeleteOur temps have warmed, not cold like the previous couple of days and nights. But these sox sure kept my toes warm today.
DeleteI have two more pair on the needles so will have even more to add to my sock drawers.
hugs
As soon as the weather turns, I'm all about warm things. Knitting, soup, stews and of course, pumpkin spice lattes. You can't live this close to Seattle and not succumb to those lattes from Starbucks...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful socks and shawl; I'm on my second pair of striped socks and eyeing the next!
Hugs, veelau
Hubby and I stopped at the Barnes & Noble Starbucks for coffee and desserts last week.
DeleteI'm partial to their Chai Latte, myself.
