This was certainly a fun knit ! ! !
So much so I couldn't put it down.
The shawl used 462 yards of
Knit Picks Stroll
in Queen Anne and Summer Blossoms.
It measures ~48" x 15" unblocked.
I didn't go with the Picot Edge/Bind Off called out in the pattern.
I prefer the I-cord bind off.
Thanks goes to

for generously gifting this pattern to me,
to Evelyn - Project: Stash

It's very pretty Gerry!
ReplyDeleteOh, please send the rain my way, my grass
is now starting to die we are so dry! Goodness,
it's only April and I can't believe I just
typed that! :)
Tracey, guess you'll have to wait for our leftovers this time. There should be some rain remaining since we got only the inch-and-a-half.
DeleteThe way Mother Nature has been, there's no telling how this season is going to progress.

It's gorgeous, Gerry! Seriously, this is my favorite one completed so far! Such beautiful springtime colors!
ReplyDeleteThis pattern gives me a chance to de-stash. These two yarns have been hanging together for a while now just waiting for this shawl :^)
Deleteso happy to have used them together

Oh my, that shawl turned out beyond beautiful! The colors are just perfect! Congrats, I still cannot believe how quickly you finished it.
ReplyDeleteReally, I knitted a lot on this shawl. Put everything else on hold for this past week. So glad I finished it so that I can admire it 8*)

We too got an inch and a half of rain. Therefore I did not gt to cut grass today. I might be looking for a herd of goats by week's end.
ReplyDeleteLove the shawl!
Well, Patti, we rec'd ANOTHER 1.5" last nite [Sunday]
DeleteSo beautiful. Those colors look very good together. It proves that waiting for the right project works.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment, Dianna. It did work out great this time, didn't it?
DeleteIt's a beautiful piece. The way you've photographed it reminds me of a warm pair of angel wings. :)
ReplyDeleteMichele, that's about the way I see it, also. Angel wings to wrap 'round to feel the love.
DeleteThanks so much for visiting.

Deletethanks for vising me. I love the shawl. I used to crochet before I had bilateral carpel tunnel. I gave up crochet and embroidery for photography and computing. You are nearly and Ozarkian as I am. And we lived in Morocco for 2.5 years with a USN assignment.
ReplyDeleteI don't see how you keep up two blogs. My biological sister *I have two families) loves genealogy. She has traced us back to some Cherokee blood lines--interesting. She spends lots of time on it.
Well, thanks for returning blog visits.
DeleteI've done photography, but now with digital I don't so much
however, L♥VE my computers.
You may have read, we worked in Saudi Arabia for five years and certainly enjoyed our time there. Worked for ARAMCO [oil company]
My other blog sadly needs more time devoted to it
but knitting has taken it's place.
Very lovely colour! I think you'll get heaps of use out of your pretty shawl. I like the i-cord bind-off you've used. Good thinking!
ReplyDeleteI love the way the Picto Edge/bo looks
Deletebut I know I'll wear to more with the plain edge way more often.
Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, you're done already too! What a stunning color combination! ♥

And it's truly one I'll wear.
It is glorious! The colours are wonderful - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I appreciate your compliment very much so.
DeleteOf course, it's 80 degrees F today
so won't see any use for today :^)
Beautiful!!!! I am going to have to break down and buy that pattern!!! Too tempting to not make it.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a very fun, quick knit.
DeleteCan't wait to see your color choice.
Wow...that is so beautiful. I love the colours and the design. I am a fan of the i-cord finish, so I think that this is great. - veelau
ReplyDeleteHi, veelau, that I-cord bo is really attractive to me.
DeleteThis is the third shawl I've modified and it probably isn't the last.
hugs
Oh, that is so lovely! No wonder this has been a popular pattern!
ReplyDeletePlus, girl, it's so easy to knit.
DeleteChange the colorway and you've an entirely different shawl.
