One of the great things about having lunch at
The Old Brick House Deli here in Jeff City,
in addition to the yummy food we enjoy each week,
is that we can eat on the covered back porch.
That's exactly what we did this afternoon
even with the temp in the 80s
with humidity that almost matched.
So happy Summer is almost upon us.
Something like a day and a half til it arrives ! !
Ahhh, a Muffaletta Sandwich with
a side of House Salad.
As you can see
I couldn't wait to dig in
and did so before I thought of taking a pic to show you.
After we got home,
my just finished
designed by Alana Dakos
was ready for photographing.
Took it out front and draped over an, oh, so
evergreen bush
and snapped away.
I used a wonderful, wonderful yarn for this beauty.
The yarn is a blend of 75% Merino Wool, 15% Cashmere, 10% Silk
It is sooooo snuggly.
Can't wait for the three months plus a day and a half for Autumn to arrive so I can wrap my self in style.
These lovely shaped leaves are what caught my eye
and my heart.
Just had to have it for myself. :^)

In the meantime
I'll be working on another pair of sox!!!!

ReplyDeleteAt least you were warm. I froze last night at guild. Sorry I didn't get over to say hi. Guess I was jealous, you looked nice and comfortable with your 3/4 sleeves on!
I could die for those muffaletta, especially in their wrap.
DeleteTheir salad's The Best In Town ! !
Patti, I saw you in line for Treats
But then lost track of ya.
Sure missed saying, " Hi !"
I not only had had on my to,
But a shirt on top of that.
Some one asked that the thermostate be turned down
Guess no one heard the plea. :*)
Hugs

this won't happen for a few months
Thanks for stopping by

I almost fell off my chair when I saw you had posted!!! Have missed your excursions, and your FO's. Shawl is absolutely gorgeous!!!! Can't wait to see it in person!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, it has been a while, hasn't it.
DeleteI've be busy
knitting
quilting
visiting with family
life
hugs for stopping by
That shawl turned out great. No wonder you are wishing your life away to wear it. As we all know, autumn will be here sooner than we think, however that's not a guarantee you can wear it on the 1st day of autumn if the weather decides to stay hot. I think I'm the only person who doesn't like the salad at TBH. It's too bitter to me.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, the TOBH Salad is soooo calorie-heavy
Deletebesides, I've been addicted to it
since the first bowl full
MORE THAN ten years ago.
Can't get enough of it ! ! ! !
Not really wishing the months/season away
but can not wait to wear this shawl.
It's been said,
Orange is the new Black
It's hot ! ! ! !
hugs
I am so jealous. TOBH is one of the things I miss most about JC.
ReplyDeleteAnd now to make you jealous: I went to the Loopy Ewe about 3 weeks ago. Bought myself some lovely Cascade Heritage sock yarn for a shawl. Found myself coveting a Schact Ladybug spinning wheel so I had to leave.
