Hooded Scarf

in a lovely turquoise in the most squishable machine washable wool.

The is the hood section beginning at the neckline
going up to the top of the head

Once the hood is complete
it will be attached to a long cable-patterned scarf.
Yet to be knit  :^)

'Finished in time for our first truly winter day', is what DD#2 is no doubt wishing.
This will be for Debbie when it's finished.

    1. hey, PATTI, the cold IS coming
      sooner than later, dang

I'm come to the harder part of the hood
there's some more shaping goin' on at the top of the head section.

The scarf pattern is just one cable running the length with seed stitch borders on a 6" wide scarf. I'll knit 'til all the balls are used [still on the first one] so Debbie can wrap this baby round and round and round.

Will we see you at Guild?

    1. Oh, DiAnna, this Cascade 220 Superwash IS knitting up lovely.
The cables and the twisted sts are showing great.
      Can't wait to block !
      Can't wait to see FO ! !

The color just begs to be knit.

      Debbie is deserving, believe me.

  3. I have never been a fan of Cascade yarns in general, but 220 superwash is an exception, it gives such a durable fabric and comes in so many colors! You definitely picked a pretty color. I could never pull it off though because I'm more of an earth-tones kind of girl, but I'm sure that it suits Debbie perfectly.

    1. First time for 220 and love it so far. So tickled Debbie picked the bright turq - it's fun to pick up and work with. 220 twenty should be the answer to her taking care of it. I know up front she does not like handlaundry.

I've used the Cascade Ultra Pima cotton and love knitting with it. However, not to nutz about the 'drape' but then it just might be the garment/knitter.

Hope all is well with you and kitty

    1. Daughter picked the color and I have to think that this'll brighten any dark, dreary, freezing day in January and February.

      It's just alot of knitting.
