Here I am, waiting for your Comments.
ReplyDeleteHave I told you lately how much I look forward to hearing from you???
You've enriched my life just by knowing you.
Love to each and every one of you
hugs
Gerry
Those are gorgeous colors! I'm not a knitter so I can't make any suggestion other than a lacy scarf.
ReplyDeleteHey, Tami, a lacy scarf worn on the shoulders would certainly show off the gorgeousness of these colors, wouldn't it.
DeleteThanks for the great suggestion it's the first on the list.
hugs & thanx for visiting
Love that yarn. The yellow caught my eye, and as the pic loaded I saw the rest of the colors. They will look very nice together. I'm in shawl mode so I'd suggest a shawl.
ReplyDeleteDid you see that photo of Franklin on Diane's righthand sidebar?
DeleteThese colors mimic her to a T. When Diane had Franklin on one of her episode [can't remember which it was] the yarn color just flowed right into the Real Franklin. Amanda did a great job creating colors.
Sounds as though Tami and you are in sync with suggestions for my Knitabulls KAL project.
hugs
I just co the age of brass and steam kerchief that would look very pretty with this yarn! It is great looking.
ReplyDeleteHey, Tracey I've been meaning to check out B & S and now you've given me to nudge I need.
DeleteI'll let you know what develops. :*)
hugs
Gerry, I can't decide what to knit with my Franklin either! I just can't wait to see what you end up knitting with your Franklin yarn! I know it will be awesome! Your pictures look amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Diane:-)
Alright, Diane. I was thinking Multnomah and then Tracey in her comment above mentions The Age of Brass & Steam. I'm going to check it out.
DeleteI just love Franklin, bird and yarn.
Thanks for stopping by.
hugs
Those colors are so unusual and wonderful together. Such a cute idea for a colorway too. I'm very excited to see it all knitted up!
ReplyDeleteBoth the dyer and Diane came up with such a Terrific Colorway. As you may have just read,
DeleteI'm looking at two patterns on Rav
Multnomah FREE
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/multnomah
and
The Age of Brass and Steam: FREE on RAV http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-age-of-brass-and-steam-kerchief
I'm still open to any and all suggestions
hugs
I am not a knitter, but that yarn is beautiful...love the colors...
ReplyDeleteAren't these colors exciting?
DeleteMaybe I'll be carrying one in my purse next Guild meeting. 8*)
hugs
Wow those colors will look great on you. I wish I knew what to suggest but whatever you come up with will be gorgeous. You always have the most gorgeous colors. It says so much about your personality. No wonder we get along so well together. lol
ReplyDeleteHave you entered my giveaway. If not I hope you do it ends sometime Friday. If I remember right. Lord help this ole woman.
Love ya
Maggie
Maggie, I think I'll be knitting Piper's Journey Shawl
DeleteHere's the url for the info [copy & paste into address bar of your web browser]
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pipers-journey
for the border I just may use a white yarn so the design reveals its self.
I know we'd be a hoot face-to-face and cause
all kinds of H-E-double toothpicks.
love ya back plus three hugs
Interesting color combination. I can't wait to see what lovely garment you knit up.
ReplyDeleteThis colorway is sooooo gorgeous. Such lively colors ! ! ! !
Deletehugs
Orange and grey = perfect! Just like my guest bathroom!! I'm really looking forward to seeing what you decide to make with this one :-)
ReplyDeleteAs I told Maggie [comment above] I do believe it's going to be
DeletePiper's Journey http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pipers-journey
I'm intrigued with the border application.
The Single Handed Knits kal will spur me on.
hugs, enjoyed your comment, Gail
I love that colour way. Everytime I see it in the podcasts I just think it looks awesome. Yellow and orange are not my usual colours, but Age of Brass and Steam would look pretty great in that.
ReplyDeleteWe have non-stop rain here in the Pacific NorthWET right now. Too bad we couldn't switch weather patterns just to give each other some relief. However, in a few short days I will be off to Lost Wages, Nevada and California...so I am going to dry out and enjoy the very sunny weather. Viva Las Vegas, baby!
Hey, gal, it's just as awesome in person as it is on the monitor.
DeleteSince I just happen to have two skeins of it - - - the second skein will no doubt be AofB&S
It will show off the colors exactly right ! ! !
Okay, it's a trade ! ! ! Wet for Dry. Even in your absence we'll do it.
Las Vegas will be a blast [fun] not necessarily heat.
hmmm I lived in Southern California as a kid and beyond.
Have fun, kick back, enjoy your holiday.
hugs 'til ya get back
I vote Piper's journey shawl. It looks like it needs some Franklin color in it. Lovely yarn!!!!!
ReplyDeletePiper is in first place in the running, however
DeleteAge of Brass and Steam is right up there too.
hugs
Such a pretty colourway, and just like a cockatiel! B&S is good because you can stop when you run out of yarn and it still looks ok. Also, it takes variegated yarn very well.
ReplyDeleteI love those patterns that allows us to decide when it's finished. LOL
DeleteI'm excited about starting some project with it, whatever it is. I keep changing my mind.
hugs
Wow that's amazing, I've never seen a yarn like that before! Look forward to seeing what you make.
ReplyDeleteI know it's going to be a shawl, but just which one is any one's guess right now. I still have a few days before I get to cast on.
Deletehugs
It's fab! I actually went AHHH! when I clicked open your page!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it knit up!
My reaction was the very same. My heart went pitty-pat. I knew I had to have it.
DeleteLucky for me to have caught the update.
hugs
If the yarn is self-striping, I highly recommend Wingspan --http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/wingspan-2.
ReplyDeleteLovely yarn...
This particular skein isn't self-striping, HOWEVER, another indy dyer is dying up a colorway very similar in a self-striping. I hope to catch her shop update and snag a skein.
DeleteYou can bet I'm going to put Wingspan in my Rav Queue if it isn't already there.
Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting, Cheryl
