A Scrappy Quilt

Finally a Finished Project !  ! !
The end in sight as far as my fabric stash.

Daughter Deb and I have used just about all our
scrap fabrics and Stash Fabrics.

Our current project is underway with the first quilt
FINISHED.

A Scrappy Rag Quilt for Hubby is the first on the
bed and ready for wear.

Our seven rag quilts
are intended to be utilitarian.
They are to be used, and used, and used
'til the are too worn to use one more time.

Bed, Picnic, Tabletoppers
whatever.
After all, they are utilitarian.

****************

Fall is in the air today.
The breeze felt wonderful
with a bit of 'cool'
ruffling our hair.

After our recent rain,
lawns are slightly greener,
tree leaves shinier,
even gutter are cleaner.

YeeHaw!!!

  1. The back looks good, too! Looking forward to seeing the next one. We enjoyed this lovely day since we were out almost all day running errands and shopping. I'm ready for cooler temps.

  2. Wonderfully scrap happy. I love the look where every fabric enjoys nesting with all the rest.

  3. Isn't it wonderful to be able to use your scraps to make such colorful quilts. There's nothing better than snuggling under a warm quilt when the temperatures drop later in the year. :-)

    1. Tami, it's a relief to have used up all the Scrap & Stash Fabrics.

A few pieces large enough for backing
      Is all that remains.

Hubby has been enjoying his new quilt
      The last two nites.

  4. So, where do you go after the stash is all completely gone? Back to the fabric store to start all over? Or (gasp and gulp) just quit quilting? Oh that was almost impossible to to tap out.

I do like the idea of cutting the 2 1/3 strips. That must have really moved things along!

    1. Never quit quilting, Marty.
Will buy for current project only.

Yousee, I have a similar situation with my Yarn Stash!!!
      Must deplete that syash also.

This doesn't even address my drawing Stashes :*)

Your lovely Portrait of Renee is right here in our Living Room.
      You're a wonderful artist.
