Sox Rock !

Staying cozy Friday while waiting for our wintery mix of weather to arrive.

Snow didn't come 'til evening

staying cozy involves listening to Christmas music and knitting on a triangular scarf.
I love How The Grinch Stole Christmas narrated by Boris Karloff.
Oh, Mr. Grrrrrrrinch

These grape-y purple worsted weight sox are going to be put to good use this winter.
Plus,
they're darn right wonderful feeling.

Another pair of worsted winter sox.

This pair was knit several years before I found my Passion for 40" circular needles.
This is the one and only pair
of sox knit on my Round Loom.
Not bad for a first timer.
They do keep the toes toasty warm.

Snow is falling this evening in fat clumps.
It's a wet snow, folks.
Let's hope not too much stick to the trees.

In the next couple of days the slow-cooker beef roast is going to hit the spot as the snow accumulates
- something like four to five inches is predicted -
The roast and it's veggies
and a batch of hot-out-of-the-oven cheddar biscuits
should do it.

And we'll see how the weatherman's prediction goes.
One thing for certain,
it's not going to the last time we get snow this winter.

Let it snow.
Let it snow.
Let it snow.

  3. Glad to see you are cooking!!! It can be fun every now and then. All the socks look great and I can see that the scarf is going to be another beauty. I'm glad we didn't get anymore of the white stuff. P.S. I am the Grinch!!!

    1. Have been slow-cooker cooking since Thanksgiving.

Several times for Bread Pudding variations
In addition to Turkey and roast
      Whole potatoes
      Dinner rolls
Is the ANYTHING that can not be cooked in a slow cooker????

      Hugs
