Let's start with warm feet!
Began this pair of wooly-wooly sox on a round loom
very early 2008.
Put them aside when I began knitting sox
2-at-a-time on 40" circular needle
thanks to my friend Dianna and the inspiration she sent my way.
Came across the unfinished pair
[knit right up to the point of toe decreases]
so last night put them on a Size 10 needles
and finished them this afternoon.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration here.
I hope you did as well.
Our two daughters prepared our
holiday feast.
Between their labor and my 'supervision'
Just kidding about my supervision.
We enjoyed a dee-lish meal.
Afterward, the four of us here in mid-MO
had a Google Hangout [video chat]
with
and my older brother in Colombia, South America
and my youngest brother and his wife in the mountains of Southern California.
How much fun was that ! ! ! ! !
Just a terrific Thanksgiving, ever.

Yep,
Now we are enjoying leftovers.
YUM-Meee
How 'bout you?
Are you feasting on leftovers as well?

Hope your Holiday was Great as well, Tracey.
DeleteI've been busy working on knitting a cardigan that truly fits me !
It has happened, save for the buttons.
You all have been in my heart and thoughts.
Hugs
Now, I'm guessing about that casserole there in the corner, but it looks yummy! Looks like leftovers are layered in!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the cold this week with them there new socks! As for me, I'm headed to Florida for the week! Yippee!!!
Yep, that's our leftovers layered for ease of heating
DeleteSoooo, yummy !
Your Florida trip comes at a great time 'cuz our weather is gonna turn wintery by week's end.
Have fun, Patti.
Hugs
So glad you're back in blog land!!! The socks look SO warm and snuggly!!!!
ReplyDeleteNot many leftovers here, thanks to 3 young men who needed care packages sent home with them. Good for my waistline, though.
Hey, hey, Paula
Deleteyou must have had a blast in the food department having your three guys to scarf everything down and whisk away the dee-lish remainders.
Seems we may be getting some wintery weather in the next few days
YIPEEEEEE
I've two pair of winter-wooly house sox
hugs
The sox look great, Gerry. Sorry I was the reason you were sidetracked but I think the diversion I created was a good one for both of us. I finally got to visit a yarn shop yesterday and bought some denim colored yarn (surprise, huh?). What is surprising is this yarn is for Joe. He has never wanted hand knitted socks but he needed some to wear with jeans and I talked him into letting me knit some. I have to admit I really was shocked when he said yes so I will finally be knitting socks with more than 48 stitches!!! I'm in Knoxville, TN at the moment. The winter storm heading to JC may change our plans. We think we need to skip the leisurely trip and get home Wednesday night to beat that winter mess. That's fine with me. I'm ready to get home. Luv & Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWHAT???? Denim colored yarn !!!!!!!!
DeleteYou crazy gal!!!!!!!!!
I love knitting for Ron
He is always lifting his pant cuff to show 'em off to anyone vaguely interested.
What a guy !!!!
Finally you'll get to experience knitting 'adult' socks. LOL LOL LOL
Not certain how much accumulation we get as the ground temp is still pretty darn warm.
But, we will see.
Safe travels, friend
Hugs
I am so glad to see you back. I worried since you hadn't posted since September. I checked Thanksgiving weekend but didn't see anything, and haven't been back since. Glad you're back from hiatus, and that everything seems to be going swimmingly for you. Finishing projects, seeing family .... what could be better than that?
