Sounds like normal, right?
Well, I don't think so in the case.
That's today's temperature
without indexing the humidity.
I'm not complaining
just commenting.
In fact, when we ate at The Old Brick House at lunch time
we sat outside on the back porch.
Didn't even break a sweat ! ! !
This summer's temps are hotter than last summer
and the lawns here are beginning to turn brown.
Due partly to no rain in probably a week now.
WE NEED SOME RAIN ! ! !
Leaves are dropping in many, many yards.
I guess that's what this time of year is all about.

Hey, wanna see my current sock project?
This is the Zitron 100% Merino yarn
that I 'frogged'. 'Frogged' TWICE from two other pair of started socks.
Now my current pair look like this:
Impressed ya didn't I ? ? ? ?
I'm getting good at frogging.
Now to knit something I am satisfied with.
Will do a little more this evening while we listen to the audio book
by
Richard North Patterson
EXILE
which is a very good story with lots of current events in the Middle East.
We're enjoying every hour of the seventeen hours it takes to tell the tale.
I'll be able to get an hour's worth of sock knitting while listening to the next CD of it.

Was able to put in a hour or so of sewing this morning
and am making headway with several projects.
Photos upcoming.
Hey, Have you Commented on
There's still time.
p.s. I'm not the only one having a giveaway.
is celebrating her first year of blogging.
Why not visit her?
Amen to needing the rain. I am done with this heat too.... Love all that I've missed around here. WOW... you have been at this sooooooooo long. Great job.

Yep, it was 98+ here today as well, and it's supposed to be 99 tomorrow! And we haven't had any rain in a couple of weeks. I think most of our grass has burnt up...it's all I can do to keep the flowers watered! My water bill was through the roof last month!!!
ReplyDeleteHey, what is frogging? I don't know anything about knitting, or crocheting, or...anything else! :o)
Have a great evening!
XOXO,
Cyndi
Howdy neighbor (we live in neighboring states), so nice to "meet: you and thank you for dropping in for a visit. We hit 108 here last week with 115 heat index and I can't wait for fall to arrive! We have gotten some rain but it just raises the humidity level up something awful. I don't know what frogging is but it sure looks pretty!
ReplyDeleteMy socks looked like that several days ago. Not sure when I will get to add more rows. I have completed the toes and 8 rows of the lace pattern.
ReplyDeleteThank you honey for stopping by and telling me about your experiences with the broken vertibraes. I have heard of the procedure they did for your hubby and was surprised that two neurosurgeons told me there was nothing they could do for me. Just had to mend on its on. I don't understand but I am slowing getting there I hope.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right I think everyone across the US is suffering from the temps and no rain. This ranch that I live and work on is looking bad.
Sorry I don't get over here like I want to. Since my accident I am limited to computer time and everything else. haha
Hope you entered my CSN giveaway
Love
Maggie
Gerry - love the post today. I'm off to the library to see if I can find that audio book.
ReplyDeleteHugs - Marie
I think it is so very special that the two of you enjoy audio books. And, you get to knit at the same time--multi-tasking at its very best!
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be thriving.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors on your blog.
I guess frogging has little to do with a forked stick and wet feet.
This isn't a particularly hot desert but this time of year i am not surprizied if it is 100 after sun-down.
The book sounds good. Where did you get it? How might I get it? A copy I mean.
