A Taste of Autumn
Last several days
has provided us with 3+" of much needed rain.
Still need one or two passes over the yard to
mulch up all those Oak and Sycamore leaves.

Can't you just imagine - - - -
opening these doors to find the
interior painted white,
a daybed at the rear wall
with quilts, and ruffly pillows, and snugly throws,
a table mounded with books and magazines,
or . . . . .
instead of mounded with all that
there would be my NookColor,
Netbook
and a hot pot of Earl Grey,
a China cup and saucer,
a scented candle or two, or three, or - - -
oh, not to worry, gals
there's lots and lots of chocolate.

Wow, that is just beautiful! I can see why it puts a big smile on your face :-) The colors are so vibrant. Colors like that always make me feel cozier when the yucky weather comes around.
ReplyDeleteGail, thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteI truly love these colors - they just make my heart sing.
You're right about the yucky weather. It usually arrives here right after the new year. First couple of years we lived here I 'bout went crazy with the grey weather. I've lived most my life in the southwest where it's sunny and blue skies many, many, many days a year.
hugs
Gerry
It looks perfect on you Gerry! I love the colors and the design.
ReplyDeleteI am so envious of your rain since we haven't had any, it keeps missing us. I have droopy broccoli in the fields that I will be having to water soon.
Love your building and the description of inside sounds perfect!
xx
Beautiful. You know how I feel about the dyed woolies. Sweet pattern too.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see your Multnomah, I want one, too! And I like your dream space .. yes, I can see it!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a gorgeous shawl Gerry! Those colors are so vibrant and cheerful. Plus I absolutely love your white hair. I have a white streak and hope that when the rest of mine turns that it's as pretty as yours.
ReplyDeleteThat shed is such a great looking building... I can just picture the inside.
Ohhhhhh I just love your new finish!!
ReplyDeleteYou look so vibrant in your cheery shawl and matching socks. Keep dreaming!
ReplyDeleteI noticed that your socks matched the newest shawl in your collection. This is a great color scheme for you with that beautiful white hair. I just have to smile when I read where your imagination goes when you look at that shed. In my mind, when I open the door I see a lawn mower, rakes, shovel, buckets and hoses 8^)
ReplyDeleteYour dream shed would make a lovely craft getaway indeed. You are a great model for the colorful shawl.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shawl! What gorgeous colours.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely shawl and a job well done sweetie. Even more I adore your little getaway!!! How charmin' is that???
ReplyDeleteGod bless and enjoy your day!!! :o)
