The Story takes place on California's Central Coast in a ficticious town not far from San Luis Obispo, Moro Bay, Santa Maria and the like. It's a spin-off of Earlene Fowler's other series that is a very light series that involves at least one murder per book with the heroine and her husband [who is the chief of police of their town] what else? - - cracks the case.
