Foundation Piecing Progress

I'm doing a spiderweb quilt top

Inspired by Bonnie K Hunter

You can find her at her blog: Quiltville

Or on YouTube as Quilt_Cam

Lots of terrific quilting/sewing tips,

Vintage machines,

And friendly chatter,

And, of course, lots of sewing

To keep ya company while

At your own machine.

WHEW !! I've completed just over 100 of the triangle blocks!!

I'm working from scraps gifted me from my long-arm quilter friend several years ago.

Daughter Debbie and I have been using these

pre-cut stripes (~ 1.5" - 2.5" x 4-5")

as leaders and ender while working on other projects. They've been used in several projects over the years.

It's time to finish them off!

I'll be making triangle blocks 'til the scraps run out.

In the end

They'll turn into a quilt somewhat similar to this example

That was on InstaGram

  1. Fun ... I always like seeing the spiderweb scrap quilts. And I see that you're using Bonnie's phone book idea for the foundation paper. Will everything have the yellow background or will you be playing around with different colors?

    1. Hey, Tami
The only constant is the yellow bordered by red
      The rest are all scraps.
You got it! That Bonnie is a great inspiration
I love watching, or rather listening to her QuiltCam
While I sew on my triangles.
Daughter Debbie brought me a few more scraps to add. :-)
      I am loving this‼️‼️

  2. What a great project for all those scraps. You will be glad to have them out of the way and a new quilt to boot.

    1. Was down to the bottom of the barrel of scraps
'Til this afternoon when Deb brought the last of her scraps over here.
So I'll be sewing along for a while longer
